We had some more "professional" photos of Maya taken by Breeze photography (Bree is totally great! She came over and took photos at the house, with a bunch of props, and being a mommy herself she knew exactly what to do, I highly recommend her!) Breeze photographyy
There are so many cute photos of her, but this one is my favorite! It was Bree's idea, this was taken in her room on her changing table.

maya and her hair flowers
I love to put things in Maya's hair, it is like her accessory, since she can't have a cute purse or jewelry or anything like that. The obsession started early, I bought her a few clips before she was born, and received a few bows as gifts, but then my sister-n-law, Shanna sent me a whole bunch of cut flower clips and headbands things. It was so fun putting them on her, she just looked extra cute and girly. To make matters worse, well actually better, I found a kiosk in the mall that just had the cutest flowers, bows, headbands and hats. If I had the time I would make it all myself, it is really so simple. I have also purchased a few things at hobby lobby to attach to her hat like additional ribbon. I think every little girl should have something fun to put in her hair, don't you. So here are a few pictures of Maya and her hair accessories, when she had more hair I will be able to utilize the clips more. My favorite flower is the black one, but the picture I have is not the best. Which flower do you like?

6 months
My little Maya is 6 months old now! She has her first tooth, and a 2nd one on the way. She can sit up on her own. She puts her foot in her mouth and sticks her butt up in the air in attempt to crawl. Oh, and she is eating veggies now!

If you look closely you can see her first tooth!
She is so much fun, we are enjoying every moment!

Vail
We had the chance to get-a-way this past weekend and go to Vail, Colorado (actually we stayed in Beavercreek). Brett had a soccer tourney there and he was allowed to bring Maya and me along for the trip.
It is the most beautiful time of the year in Vail, all of the Aspen Trees are changing colors, with the cool fall wind, and the smell of fresh rain in the air. The drive up was so beautiful, with the mountain ranges, yellow trees and blue skies. I realized how much I love living in Colorado!
We were very blessed and the women in charge of lodging got us into a 2 bedroom, $500 a night condo for free! Our friends the Whites ended up coming with us since we had the extra space. We don't live the life of staying in million dollar condo's in the mountains so it was great to experience a piece of that life for 3 days!
Maya was even impressed with the granite counter tops, 3 flat screen TV's, jacuzzi bath tub, fire place, and the robes left hanging in the closet for us. Brett's soccer game schedule was kept light so he was able to spend more time with us, it was great!
You know that a weekend in the mountains on a rainy night would not be complete without warm chocolate chip cookies and milk in front of the fireplace while enjoying the company of good friends, so we did just that! And of course since we were "livin the life" we also enjoyed a bottle of wine together.

Gondolas and Ski lift were right outside of our room!
Family Time!
We can't wait until next year!
