Is patience still waiting?

No baby yet....... Her due date isn't until Friday though.  I originally thought she was going to be early because I had so many contractions my 2nd trimester, but right now she seems pretty darn content just hanging out in my belly.    I guess babies have a due date for a reason, but for some reason we/I tend to get impatient and expect that the baby come sooner.
There is one very significant day this month, it has not passed yet and part of me wonders if she is going to be born on that day....... I would not be surprised.  Only God knows though right?

The only thing that has been really hard is that each day I have not made plans, well because I don't want to make big plans and go into labor...... so plans are tentative or not made at all (which is extremely difficult for me for me).

The girls and I have spent a lot of time outside.  Fall is our nicest season.

We went for a walk and found a snake.  can you see it?

We had a love/hate relationship with the snake.  We were scared of it, but curiosity kept us staring at it.  I didn't know what kind of snake it was so I didn't want to touch it, but we were obsessed with looking at it and searching for it in the weeds.

This is Maya yelling, "GO AWAY SNAKE!"

Who needs to pay for a pedicure when you have 2 toddler girls who are obsessed with putting lotion on your feet?

I also was able to get the final thing done off my "checklist' and that was getting our finger prints done.  I didn't realize it was such an ordeal to do them until I called the police station and they told me it was a 2-3 hour wait!!! that is crazy!  I new it would be very hard if I had to take a newborn with me, so Brett and I were able to squeeze in an early Saturday morning outing and get them done!

hopefully they won't find anything shady in our pasts

Also we are making sure to squeeze in lots of time with Grammy before she leaves in a few weeks.

A girl can dream

So having a baby girl bring on quite the expense, none the less having 2 other toddler girls.  I mean they all need a least one matching dress, right?

thanks to Old Navy at least they were clearance

Well thanks to Etsy and Pinterest the addiction of baby girl cuteness only becomes worse!!  I mean there is soooo much cute stuff I don't know what to do with my self sometimes.  All I want to do is re-decorate my house, throw parties and dress my girls in the cutest clothes........or maybe not because that becomes quite expensive.   A girl can dream though, right?? or modify things and ideas to make them cheaper.

Here are some adorable girly things I have seen on Pinterest and Etsy that I need, want.

Embrace the Camera September 15th

I just love this photo of Daddy and Norah!  They were having a serious conversation about going pee pee on the potty (which Norah doesn't do....) but she was listening so intently to him.

So for this weeks Embrace the Camera, lets embrace "serious moments with dada"  Maybe next time Norah will grasp the serious moment and actually go pee pee on the potty.

9 Months Pregnant

Yes Folks, I am just about 9 months pregnant, 39 weeks and baby Sarah is still hanging out in the belly, she seems pretty content right now, no big signs of labor (although I am about 4cm dilated).  Now it is just the anticipation and waiting.

I kind of love the excitement of not knowing when she will come.  I am such a planner, that I love that this one thing in my life is not totally planned, the unknown is kind of thrilling!

I am trying to enjoy the last moments of just having 2 little girls, embracing our time together.   I know that their world is about the change so drastically, but I also know they will love Sarah so much!

My Fears
I do have a few fears, about labor and about having another child

I am nervous, nervous I won't be able to get a hold of Brett when I need to (he has class 3 nights a week with no cell phone reception).  This is one big reason we hired a doula.

I am scared that my water will break at work in the middle of cleaning someones teeth....awkward..

I am scared that for some reason I will have to have a c-section, which I really don't want

I am scared to be a stay-at-home mom.  I feel like I don't know how to do it, and I won't be good at it, or I may even go crazy!

I am scared to have a social worker come to our house with an infant in hand

I am scared we won't have enough money to buy groceries (have you been to the store lately? prices are out of control!)

I am scared to have 3 children 3 and under and have some sore of sanity

Despite my fears I am looking forward to this new chapter in our lives, it seems so different than anything I have ever known.  I am trusting that the Lord will provide and take care of us.

Here is my pregnancy progression

My Check List

Last week when I went to my OBGYN appt for baby Sarah the Dr. told me that I was already 3cm dilated and 70% effaced.  Not totally a huge surprise, but inside all I could think was, "I need just a little more time before you come baby Sarah."  So, I asked God to give me a least one more week before the baby comes, because, well I had to finish my check list (I know great reasoning huh?).

Well, now it is Sunday, and I got my 1 week and my check list is pretty much complete!  What may you ask was on my check list?  Well it has been ongoing for the past few weeks, but this past week included things like:

1.  Being able to go to the labor day BBQ
we planned at Fox run Park without actually going into labor, ha!

lots of cleaning and organizing!  Hint:  You know you are "nesting"  when you can't just put something away in a drawer without reorganizing the WHOLE drawer!
