October fun!

Maya had her first Halloween event this year. First was the annual Hinkle/Goodlin pumpkin carving extravaganza. We enjoyed carving pumpkins and eating taco soup. Maya even had her own little pumpkin that she played with. I didn't have time for the smancy carvings with intricate detail, I kept it simple. It was a fun night we ended by watching the amazing race and eating a pumpkin ice cream pie.

On Halloween we went to the Fall Festival at Church. Maya was a hot dog and we were the hot dog vendors. It was fun, Maya loved the petting zoo, she squeezed the bunny like a stuffed animal. Several people approached Brett wanted to really buy a hot dog. HA! We tried to let Maya play a few of the games, like putting the bean bag threw the elephant mouth, but she just wanted to eat the bean bag.

maya's professional photos

We had some more "professional" photos of Maya taken by Breeze photography (Bree is totally great! She came over and took photos at the house, with a bunch of props, and being a mommy herself she knew exactly what to do, I highly recommend her!) Breeze photographyy

There are so many cute photos of her, but this one is my favorite! It was Bree's idea, this was taken in her room on her changing table.

maya and her hair flowers

I love to put things in Maya's hair, it is like her accessory, since she can't have a cute purse or jewelry or anything like that. The obsession started early, I bought her a few clips before she was born, and received a few bows as gifts, but then my sister-n-law, Shanna sent me a whole bunch of cut flower clips and headbands things. It was so fun putting them on her, she just looked extra cute and girly. To make matters worse, well actually better, I found a kiosk in the mall that just had the cutest flowers, bows, headbands and hats. If I had the time I would make it all myself, it is really so simple. I have also purchased a few things at hobby lobby to attach to her hat like additional ribbon. I think every little girl should have something fun to put in her hair, don't you. So here are a few pictures of Maya and her hair accessories, when she had more hair I will be able to utilize the clips more. My favorite flower is the black one, but the picture I have is not the best. Which flower do you like?
