777 {7 months pregnant and other 7's}

7 Months Pregnant
I am just over 30 weeks pregnant now, which is 7 months, crazy crazy!!
I am feeling great!
I get all kinds of crazy looks from people, especially at the pool!  People can obviously tell I am pregnant and have 2 young daughters not to far apart in age. I get the comments like, "Wow you can really pop out those girls." and " Oh my, you must have your hands full."  They can just keep thinking I am a crazy mom, I have learned to not care what other people think, they really have no idea about or family situation and even if I was just a girl popping machine that would be ok.  I want to enjoy this time in our lives, even if it is crazy and ridiculous

7 Months from 1-3 children
Our family will only have 7 months between going from 1-3 children (without twins).  So many people have said going from 1-2 children is the hardest, I can only imagine that going from 1-3 will be even more difficult.  That also means we will only have 7 months of just Maya and Norah.  I think in many ways having another baby will be good for Norah, and helping her to feel more like a part of our family, it will be new for all of us!  I am sure the transition will be hard for Maya and Norah at times, they were both only children, and now they will both have 2 siblings in an instant!

7 Months ago
We were on a family date night watching Tangled and then we received the dreaded phone call.... Carrisa was gone...
It has been 7 months since Carrisa passed away.  This is hard for me to grasp.....  Sometimes I feel like she is still around, just living in California and I will see her when I visit next time.  I know as time passes peoples hearts heal and they tend to forget, forget what life was like with her.  Losing Carrisa affected our lives in such a different way because it wasn't just changed because she is gone, but it is forever changed because Norah is an intimate part of our family now and forever!  We remember Carrisa  everyday, we see Carrisa everyday in little Norah.  It is not just in that aspect that our life has changed, there is so much more!  Had we just had our 2 children (as I always planned) I would still continue working 3 days a week, dropping the kids off at daycare, never really knowing what it would be like to be a stay at home mom.  We may have never know what it would be like to be a family of 5!  We may have never know what it would have been like to have 3 girls.  But this is what God has given us,  and as much stress or hardship it may bring we are embracing it and loving our family as God planned it to be.

Remembering time with her

  2. My brother, who has three kids, said something I've always remembered and found funny and encouraging: "Going from 1 to 2 kids was hard, but going from 2 to 3 was like, eh, what's one more kid in the mix?" :-) You guys will do great! You're awesome and loving parents and your whole blog-world cannot wait to meet Baby Sarah!
