Easter Time

What a celebration Easter is, the resurrection of Christ!  When I asked Maya why we celebrated Easter this year, she answered, "so I can get things...."    Uhhhhhh maybe we need to work on that......
By the time Easter Sunday rolled around and I asked Maya why we celebrated Easter, she said, " Jesus rose to the dead."   Well at least we made progress.

I think Easter was confusing for the girls, I kept talking to them about Jesus and then we would make Easter eggs or go on an Easter egg hunt, or meet a bunny......  I am sure they were thinking, "what does this have to do with Jesus?" and I really don't know.  Someone just thought, "hey Easter is about Jesus so lets throw in a bunny, and how about some eggs!"  That makes sense......
I still wanted them to have a little fun, so we did some Easter-ish activities

Maya's Special Day

On Maya's actual birthday (april 13th) I decided to do a special day with just her! First we made special "#3 pancakes."  Then we went to target and I let her pick out a few toys with birthday money, my favorite part was when she picked out something for Norah using her own money!

Then we went to Starbucks and she got chocolate milk and a mini pink doughnut.  After that Maya and I got pedicures, it was so much fun and Maya did an awesome job!  She was the star of the salon.

Brett joined us for lunch at Maya's choice, Red Robin and she even got a delicious birthday Sunday!  It was a very special day for Maya and I can't wait to have a special day with Norah on her 3rd birthday!

Maya's 3rd Birthday Party

We had Maya's 3rd birthday party this past Saturday.  We did not throw her a party last year (disneyland) and because of Norah's arrival and a soon to be baby we wanted to make this party really special for Maya!   Maya talked about her birthday party for weeks and couldn't wait!  The only thing she told me she wanted was "pink".

It was a fairly nice day so we were able to hold it both inside and outside at Papa's house.
