4th annual trip to Durango, CO

Every year on mother's day weekend we head to Durango, CO for a soccer tourney that Brett Refs for! One of the great perks of him being a ref is that they pay for our hotel, plus he gets payed for all the games he refs. Basically, Brett works really hard and us girlies have a vacation. Durango is a cute little Colorado mountain town, with lots to do outside! It was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L weather while we were there!!

Besides Norah vomiting in the car, the diarrhea, me vomiting, Norah waking up in the middle of the night covered in poop, and Maya peeing her pants in McDonalds the trip went great! I guess there is no better way to spend mothers day that actually doing things only mothers were meant to do. Norah had a little bug that I also caught, Maya got a very mild version of it. Norah was not whinny or fussy (thankfully), she just had a lot of diarrhea and didn't have a very big appetite.

Despite those circumstances we spent as much time outside as possible. Going to the park, watching daddy ref, and swimming.
Lots of Photos

Although Durango was a special time with the family, mothers day felt a bit weird and sad. Carrisa should have had another mothers day.....and it just didn't feel quite right that I was celebrating a day with Norah I felt like Carrisa should have had...

missing her

  1. Great blog, Jenni! Love the photos. And the descriptive paragraph about parenting adventures, i.e. vomiting and pooping made for a good laugh! Love you guys so much.
