Last week we got an unexpected call from our Lawyer that there was an opening for a hearing on Tuesday, Feb 28th for adopting Norah! This was very unexpected since we were planning on the end of March or April to get a hearing date. So we made it work with our crazy life and drove all the way to Georgetown Colorado yesterday for our adoption hearing. It is not easy have 3 children, 3 and under go to 3 different places, but I had so much help!
Everything went great with the hearing! It was easy, fun, and Norah was so cute.
My favorite part, when Brett was asked what Norah calls him, "well it depends on the day, most days she calls me dadda, but others it's dadderton." and then Norah bursts out loud, "Dadderton!"
Can you even believe it? That is has gone by so fast, and so smooth! We have been blessed tremendously and have seen Gods hand throughout this entire process. He has taken care of our every need from money, to lawyer, to paperwork, to help from others, to home study, to everything!
We seriously cannot thank all of you who have helped so much as well, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Norah is a true blessing
Here are a few photos from the event

ReplyDeleteMy heart is bursting to read this! Now you can just enjoy being a family. Sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you guys. :-) What a journey it's been!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome....I am so glad for you. I have a picture when we had Ashley's adoption, they said please raise your right hand and Ashley raised both of her hands when we raised our right hands! It was so cute. Ashley was 19 days away from being a year old when her adoption was final. What a great day and I know you will cherish this day as much as I do Ashley's.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and your family.

Congratulations! That is so exciting! And I didn't comment before, but I watched the video you made for Norah, and it was so sweet. It made me want to cry. :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am so happy that Norah is officially part of your family! I know this must have been a hard road to walk but God is working it all back together. Secondly, I have some friends who are in the process of adopting their 3rd son and they use Seth as their lawyer and love him! I just thought that was a fun little fact. And lastly, I was in CO recently and could have sworn I saw you and your girls in Target. I was in a hurry so I didn't stop, and later I wondered what I would have said. "Hi, I was introduced to your blog by Sarah Cz and now I read your story and pray for you guys". Well I guess when I put it that way it's not too weird. Anyway, I am so happy Norah has a permanent home. :) - Emily
